"add trade" edit function behave funny when adding trade you made yesterday or today.
I enter ticker, date, nr of shares and basisincluding (as provided by my broker). Instead of adjusting the price per share to reflect the basis and nr of shares properly, leaving the broker commission alone, it messes with the comission. Entering older trades than yesterdays manually works as expected. Since I want to capture the actual basis correctly, I OK the price per share and funny commission your program likes, and now the results in the porfolio look funny. It appears that not all of the data in the resulting portfolio line adds up in this case as well.

create a strategy of the week that deals with entering the market
It would be nice to have some theory or thoughts on how best to enter the trade. With the Portfolio Manager it is based on Price of Today's Close or Tomorrow's Open. Tomorrow's Open could be quite a bit higher than the close and based on stock price could cut in to the profit. Is there a strategy for creating limit orders? You have the courses for Stop Losses, but one for the Buy side would be great.

Would it be useful to allow users to submit possible topics for comment by Dr. DiLiddo.
For instance I notice a value and price convergence trend on Canadian MTI. The TSX midcap and income watch lists seem to track this convergence. Is this a notworthy trend to watch and if so, what may be the outcome.

Create a search for stocks whose Bollinger Bands have squeezed to within 6% of each other. This is my NUMBER ONE SEARCH that I use!!!!!!!!

Allow Exchange Processing Fee to be entered when I sell a stock I track in my portfolio
I like to track my portfolios to the penny and when entering a sale there is no field to enter the exchange processing fee so I have to add the commission back to the total and divide and even then sometimes can't get the number right without tweaking the commission on odd lots.

Allow Views to open in Full Screen
I do like Vector Vest 7 & find it very useful. However, Vector Vest views are difficult to view
as the page cannot be opened to full screen. As a result I must sign on to the previous version.
I hope you can correct this as it is cumbersome to use both versions.2 votes -
MA settings in Envelope Crossover
Currently in VV7 in Unisearch, the Protrader Envelope Crossover allows only a few different Moving Averages. I would suggest that the MA setting be variable, so that one could dial up and choose a 15ma, for example

Set up a deal for IBD subscribers
Boy would it be nice as an IBD subscriber to be able to access IBD data (particularly HIstorical Data) via VectorVest. If you aren't an e IBD subscriber, no dice. But both VV and IBD are relatively expensive -- I pay for and use them both and spend a lot of time setting up IBD 100, 20, 15, Weekly Review etc. watchlists in VectorVest. I'd pay a reasonable additional fee to have you guys do it for me. I'd pay a BIG fee if I could get at IBD HISTORICAL data

Virtual dynamic watchlist that is really a search.
(Database system designers call these "views"). When you ask to view the "watchlist" a user-defined search is invoked to create the watchlist "on the fly". The user could ask for how many items to display (default to 10 or 20).and as usual the sort. You could filter on the virtual watchlist just like a real one in other searches.

Should be able to sell stock (from portfolio or backtest) off a search.
You can come close by creating a watchlist, running a search filtering on that watchlist, and removing the results "by hand". But I want to be able to do the same thing using automated backtesting, portfolio manager.

allow description notes made on a porfolio be visible when the port. is selected on Portfolio tab
In the EOD version, you can see any description notes made when creating the portfolio if you select a given portfolio...make this available on V7 Realtime...or have it as a option so that those who do not wish it visible or want the screen real estate could disable it...

Add portfolio backup function to Vector Vest.
There is currently no way to backup portfolios. After accidentally erasing my "live" portfolio with a back test, I was surprised to learn there is no way to make a portfolio backup! I was told by VV tech support that VV 7 does not include backup/restore functions.

Allow Customization of Candlestick
Allow an option for candlesticks charts to be only solid. So Green is always "up"; Red "down". (no "hollow" bodies).
