Account for Stock Volatility
On Monday 2/22 one of the top rated VST stocks was AMED.
Even though AMED has a high VST rating. I am cautious of it because of the (wild swings) the volatility in price.
I would like to recommend that this VOLATILITY in price for each stock be a very significant component in your valuation for each stock.4 votes -
CREATE A FILTER FOR TROUBLED COMPANIES
THERE ARE COMPANIES WITH FINANCIAL PROBLEMS ONE WOULD NOT BUY. OFTEN, THEY HAVE SYMBOLS WITH A Q AT THE END. THERE ARE OTHER SYMBOL ENDS WHICH ONE MAY NOT WANT ALSO. WHEN USING THE SIMULATOR, THESE BAD COMPANIES CAN SCREW UP THE RESULTS. CREATE A FILTER IN THE EXCHANGE PART OF A SEARCH TO ELIMINATE THESE COMPANIES.

Range is only a fixed value now. Ability to search as a % of price would identify volatile stocks better, for both long and short searches.

In the pulldown menu in the "5 & 10 Day MA Crossover" searches please add day # 6 . In fact, why not add days 1 thru 20 in all moving average drop down menus? Thank you.

EVER DELETE A SEARCH OR WATCHLIST OR SOMETHING ELSE BY MISTAKE? HAVE AN UNDO FUCTION AS IN EXCEL, WHERE YOU CAN REVERSE ERRORS OR CHANGES OR DELETIONS. BUT THE UNDO FUNCTION WILL EVEN REVERSE A DELETION, WHICH CANNOT BE DONE IN EXCEL IF IT HAD BEEN SAVED.

Bug: VVRT not showing data for DPO or MACD after 10/26/09
Data is shown for dates prior to 10/26/09, but after that date the indicators flatline.

place a market call up/down arrow in a prominent spot on the home page
The market call indicator is an important trading indicator. A simple color coded (green up, red down) arrow prominently displayed on all the home pages would make finding that data much easier to access. My trading is determined by this information.

add an option to use an external historical price database
It would be useful to use all the Vectorvest tools (unisearch, prtfolio simulations, etc.) with an external historical price database of my choosing.
I could then use the Verctorvest backtesting features with a database that I obtain elsewhere that may include, for example, DELISTED stocks, which would then remove the 'survivorship bias' in the results.
