  1. Please add SMA EMA Crossovers. By using a simple move average and an exponential moving average the crossovers are much more dramatic. A great indicator to buy on the daily is the EMA 12 crossing above the SMA 20. To sell use the EMA 6 crossing below the SMA 10. I developed these the hard way, if I could back test and incorporate the VST in the search I'm sure they could be refined to be even better.

    Hi Ton,

That is a great idea that I would encourage you to submit to the Improvement Department under the Training Tab.

The quicktest is just that – a Quicktest that takes you from point A to point B. Your BackTester would be more incline to go a little bit more in depth as I am sure you know.

    I hope this make sense.

  3. tried this even with bill in tech support. the market timing graph can not be modified and the modifications show as default upon future openings of the graph. for example I want the following defaults to be on there everytime I open it: 3 month period, confirmed calls showing up, orange line at previous days close not to show. can you make it happen please?
also want to receive text alerts when the vv index hits a certain value. can you make it happen please?

  5. Under the Viewers tab is the Watchlist High CI Prospects.

Most people use the HCIP Favorites Watchlist and the most recent archived High CI Prospects watch list. This means having to scroll down to the bottom of this Watchlist Group every time you want to use it.

This is not very user friendly.

Can you investigate making it easier for Vector Vest customers to use these two most common watchlists by changing the order of the watchlist group by putting the HCIP Favorites Watch list first followed by the most recent archived High CI Prospects watchlist followed by each of…

  9. Please include a bull & bear flag sort. Also, ichimoku cloud function is needed. Many free charting services have IC, I'm scratching my head as to why VV hasn't added this yet. I have requested this before.

  11. VV currently displays Stocks and Industries diversification pie-charts in the Reports section of Portfolios. Could we also have the option of a sector diversification pie-chart?

  12. Hello,
Please don't price South African stocks listed on the JSE in CENTS!
    It is crazy!

Just look at Fridays close on the JSE:
Assore is priced at 30,208.00 cents . WHY?
This should be in Rands and Cents just like Dollars and Cents
So what the heck is 30,208? Who prices US stocks in cents?
It is easy to get confused because of the placing of the comma.
At first glance it looks like it should be R30.20? Or is it R302.08?
    Please price Assore as follows:
R302.08 if this is correct and not thirty thousand, two hundred and…

  14. QuickList Delete button permanently deletes your watchlist with one click. I accidentlly clicked "delete" when I meant to click "detach". Then, poof, if was gone. It took me months to get my watchlist just the way I like it. Now I have to do it all over again. Maybe require a double click such as a warning like, "are you sure you want to delete?" before actually deleting the QuickList on the home page.

A % gain/loss tool added to the graph will allow the trader to connect the high and low at right angles and read off the %gain or loss

  17. It would be nice to be able to draw a LSF - Freehand - in Graphs.
By doing this one can for example - draw a LSF line from lo to hi and see straight away what the CAGR is e.g. by hovering the cursor over the LSF line, the CAGR is revealed in numerical data eg 23.76%

  20. Investors Quick Start course suggests not to give back more than 50% of your profits on any investment. ROI is a measure of that profit. An ROI trailing stop set at 50% would allow investors to automatically follow that rule without having to remember the highest ROI's attained and set the stops manually.
A variable ROI trailing stop would allow investors to tighten their stops when the market looks "toppy" (MTI > 1.6
