Give option for Portfolio Stock lists to be placed on Home Page.
I would love to be able to have not only a portfolio graph on my home page but a stock list that corresponds to that graph there also. And have them linked so when I change a portfolio graph the list changes with it.

Allow people to create their own buy/sell signals for the backtester.
Currently only "canned" buy/sell signals can be used, i.e., GLB, GLB/RT, DEW, and CC. For example, right now the HUI "Gold Bugs" index cannot be backtested because there is now way to tell the backtester to buy when the 10 day moving average on the HUI stop price moves about the 65 day HUI stop price MA, and sell when it crosses below.
Some other backtesters allow this. For example, years ago I used Omega Research's Tradestation 2000 on which any buy sell signal could be encoded by the user.
Giving people this flexibility may pose problems for your current…

WatchDog ADX (DI+ / DI-) Crossovers
ADX (DI+/DI-) Cross over in WatchDog.
Build rules in watchdog for ADX (DI+, DI-) crossover at set timing (1, 5, 10, 15, 30, 60 minutes. Day, Week ) for a any security. Allow for touches and 1% over as a setting for sensitivity. Send e-mail, create pop-up and ALLOW portfolio to trade on this. I would like this to run server-side, but client side would to as well.

add VVC volume to market timing graph
Please add the ability to display VVC volume on market timing graphs. That is available in the 'old' VV online version so I'm not sure why it isn't in VV7.

Allow a cut and paste feature for parameters of search
Be able to add a group of preset paramenters - like volume, exchange and price range with a click of a mouse, rather than manually adding them each time you try a new modified search.

I'd like to be able to plot ATR channels and the Keltner channels ON the price graph in place of Bollinger Bands.
ATR Channels & the Keltner Channels give us a smoother plot because they do not use Standard Deviation and they use EMA rather than SMA.
I want to be able to plot Keltner or ATR channels ON the price graph.
Thank you, Bob

When saving a graph layout, save the horizontal lines as well.
When saving a graph layout, save the horizontal lines as well. I put horizontal lines on the stochastic oscillator to show 20 and 80. So I can better see when %k crosses these values. The fact that these are not saved in the graph layout means the graph layout feature is broken. These are part of the graph and should be saved as such.

Make portfolio cash deposits and withdrawals G/L neutral
Currently, if you add cash to a portfolio, VectorVest calculates the addition as if your portfolio gained that much through trading, and if you withdraw money from a portfolio, VectorVest calculates that as a loss. Depositing and withdrawing money to or from a trading account are activities that investors do on a regular basis. Such transactions should not affect the G/L%.
The workaround for this calculating error is to modify the opening deposit. Modifying the opening deposit does reduce the effect of this miscalculation, but it also slightly reduces the G/L percentages since the gains and losses will be calculated…16 votes -
Please add The Chalkin Money Flow to your charting system. This simple chat shows a graph of the money flowing into or out of a stock. That
Mark Chalkin developed the Accumulation / distribution line and the Chalkin Money flow. This chart is so simple to read and it shows whether investors dollars are flowing into a stock or out of it along with the degree of inflow or outflow. I always use it before purchasing a stock. Several in my Richmond VV group have expressed an interest too.It would be great to see VV add the Chalkin Money Flow to their charting analysis.
Several at our Richmond group meeting would like to see it also.It simply show the dynamics of money flowing into a stock…

Add Streaming Custom Moving Averages to Viewers & Portfolios
Currently, Custom Moving Average fields can only used in Unisearch. This would provide Custom Moving Averages in Viewer and Portfolio layouts. These Custom Moving Average fields would update on every tick (based on the user's datafeed access).
