Decimal dots/ decimal commas
Hi VectorVest,
If I do a search with VV 7 the answer is: “Input string was not in a correct format”. If I do the same search with VV US, I get a result. I have found that the dialog box appears if the search contains a decimal dot like RV>1.3 and RS>1.5 and so on. I understand your database only accept decimal dots. But half the world uses decimal commas. My guess is that when your decimal dot reaches my computer it is transformed into a decimal comma. When I press Run Search my decimal comma reaches your database…1 vote -
A Reference Area for Initials
As a newcomer and with a full set of disc presentations, I would find it very helpful if you were able to provide a separate screen tucked away listing alphabetically the full wording, and maybe a very brief clarification, of all the initials that you use throughout your system.

Order of the Portfolios
Instead of having the VV Portfolios (eg Chairmans Choice) at the top of the left column, please post OUR personal portfolios first. I may look at the Chairmans Choice once a week, but I want to look at My Portfolio daily or more. Why make me scroll down everyday, but have Dr D's right on top?

UPDATE FASTER/SOONER!! YOU HAVE A LIVE VERSION. WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG TO BE CURRENT? WHY CAN'T YOU UPDATE ON MARKET CLOSE EVERY DAY?
why don't you update daily on market close? what a hassle and inconvenience to have to keep checking over and over for the new daily report. not cool.

VV7 Search temporary changes.
In vv6 while doing a backtest under the Portfolio tool I can make temporary adjustments to the Search ( such as the price or even add a new criteria to the search). However, I am told this is NOT available under either the Portfolio or Backtest tools in VV7. This should be made availabel in VV7.

On Express - why can't you make the window pane 'expandable' so I can read the Daily news stuff without having to constantly scroll down eve
Allow me to open up the Strategy window pane to be able to read it, without having to constantly scroll it down every other sentence. VERY user unfriendly. Thanx.

"Add to My Watchlists" from another Watchlist.
I want to be able to add a selection of stocks from other watchlists into one of My Watchlists. This ability exists from the Stock Viewer, but not when viewing existing Watchlists. This would be helpful in creating our own watchlists.

Relative Strength above zero, i,e, the population Price divided by the price of the item ...the average price of 8000 items divided by the price of the item that I am viewing.

The ability to superimpose a graph of the VVC upon the Equity curve resulting from a long-term backtest would be valuable.
Not all strategies perform equally in different phases of of the market, and the reasons for this are not always obvious. The ability to superimpose (1) the VVC.and (2) the Market Climate vs time upon the equity curve resulting from a candidate strategy's long-term backtest would both pose and answer questions as to its effectivness, and probably would lead to the development of more powerful Unisearch strategies.

Color code thye portfolio list to reflect whether the individual portfolios are profiting
A portfolio showing a profit could appear in green, a loser in red. I think it would be helpful

Derby Winners Histogram POP-UP next 5 day historic profit
For each Derby Winner Add a Histogram POP-UP to show historically what the average NEXT 5 day profit from buying the NEXT day open to 5 day close produced historically when that Strategy occurred. Possibly put this data in the table of the list of Strategies. You would need two histograms there, one for 1 day and one for 5 day Derby winners.
Another histogram could show the Derby Winners average NEXT 5 day profit values against MTI.

what search a stock is in
I would like a tool that allows me to enter in a stock and see which search in Unisearch it appears in. It should have selections like, appears within the top 10 of any search or of only long searches. That way when you are researching a stock, you can see how it compares to others from the different types of searches and strategies it appears in. You should also be able to see how many searches to get an idea or how strong certain characterisitcs are for a particular stock.
