AutoTester Only Close Positions Entered during the Opposite Signal
The AutoTester checkboxes for "Close any position when entering this situation" are not sufficient, when the signal includes a Neutral phase.
When checked... When the signal transitions Up-Neutral-Up, positions entered on the first Up signal are closed on the second Up signal. This is also a problem, and unrealistic, for Down-Neutral-Down transitions.
When unchecked... Transitions from Up(Neutral) to Down will not close long positions. Transitions from Down(Neutral) to Up will not close short (or long Contra) positions.
A more realistic behavior is to close positions which were entered during the opposite signal. When the signal is Up, allow (optional) closure…

Market Climate Graph - Provide option in drop down box to turn on/off display of Market Climate Case No. eg Case 7 'Bear Market Prevails'.
Currently there is no graphical display of which Market Climate Case Scenario applies for either current or historical periods. Providing an option to show individual Cases by selecting individual or multiple Case scenario numbers (1-8) or selecting 'All'.
Cases could by displayed on graph as either color coded virticle stips or virticle lines with open/close dates similar to Confirmed Market calls on Market Timing Graph.10 votes -
Create Watchlist from another Watchlist
We need ability to start with a Watchlist, sort, add, delete stocks (all of which we can execute now), THEN be able to save as a new Watchlist. Ability to bulk delete highlighted stocks from the Watchlist without using a pop-up tick list will be most helpful.
This feature will enable users to perform multiple levels of sorting very quickly. I currently have requirement to sort by as many as 6 columns.

VV7 - sort by any column
In VV6, I could click on any column and sort by it. In VV7 (for Delta 10day display only and other's , it says I can't sort on calculated columns. I really need this, even if its only for the rows returned.

Run BackTest with Technical Indicators
CREATE A BACKTEST ON TECH. INDICATORS EXAMPLE MACD RUN A TEST TO SEE HOW MANY WINNERS IT HAD ON A PARTICULAR STOCK AND TIME PERIOD MAYBE THAT AIN;T THE RIGHT INDICATOR FOR THAT PARTICULAR STOCK MAYBE A RSI WOULD WORK BETTER SO YOU SEE IF THE RSI WOULD WORK OR MAYBE ANOTHER INDICATOR UNTIL YOU FIND WHICH ONE PRODUCES THE BEST RESULTS

Vector Vest is built on vectors, which require square roots. Would be nice to have this function in the custom field builder.

Should have capability to Run Simulator and Variator under VectorVest 7
As VV is moving towards VV7 and no reserch being done for VV6, simulator and Variator. Due to this all mony we spend in purchasing this product may be wasted. Suggest if VV is now only promoting VV& thsy should provide ability to run Simulator and Variator under VV7 free of charge

Include dividend Yield in Backtests and Portfolio Growth
For my long stocks I would like to see an option in the Backtest as well as the Portfolio that automatically calculates the Dividend Yield and re-invests that yeild into the stock. I believe this will more accurately portray my portfolio and backtests, especially in my long searches/tests.

Add the ability to hide the graph to the right of the date line to make backtesting more realistic
Have VectorVest do this for us is better than holding a piece of paper up against the monitor to be sure our assessment is not biased by knowledge of future trends.

add the ability to export portfolios to other VectorVest users
It would be great if there was a way you could export your portfolios and import them into another VectorVest user's account.
For example, my friend and I both use RealTime, and would like to share our portfolio ideas. However, it would be a little time consuming to have to re-enter all the parameters by hand. It would be great if I could export the portfolio from my RealTime and allow him to import it into his.

Would you consider adding Keltner Channels(20,2.0,10) to your Technical Analysis/Pro Trader Options for graphing.
Using Keltner Channels in Technical Analysis to indicate buying/selling pressure and provides very good entry/exit points to control risk.
