1. Add Study --Keltner channels in the price graph section with ability to add multiple times to show 1ATR range, 2 ATR range and 3 ATR range.

   Please add the ability to add multiple instances of Keltner channels (1ATR, 2ATR, and 3 ATR) and the ability to set the mean at 21d EMA. Using the Options Pro charts and think or swim now but would love to not have to move back and forth. Trade uptrending, good VST stocks on a pullback to the 21d EMA or within the 1ATR channel at least. Target becomes the 2 ATR or 3ATR Keltner channel.

2. order information in robotrader

   Show the details of my buy or sell order that is pending in the "RoboTrader Action Items." e.g. with a buy/stop order show the $ amount at which it should buy. Bid, Ask & Last is not helpful especially since "last" is not updated live.

3. Graph Layouts

   Currently, when going to the Graphs Tab and then selecting a particular Layout to load, yes the selected Graph Layout does appear, BUT if I then select another graph layout, the next Graph Layout of course appears.
   However, when jumping from one Graph Layout to another Graph Layout it is difficult to know exactly which Graph Layout I am then viewing.

   My suggestion is to make one of the following changes so that an individual will know exactly which graph format he/she is currently viewing:

   1. When the particular Graph Layout is selected, then the COLOR of the selected rectangular title button on the right would REMAIN solid orange/yellow as when the cursor is simply first pointing to the rectangular title button. All the other Layouts would remain dark grey, and the one currently selected would be “LIT” with the solid orange/yellow color. The viewer would then know exactly which graph layout is being viewed.
      OR

   2. Simply place the name of the selected Graph Layout on the Upper Left Corner of the Graph

4. Improve Dividend Viewer

   add the following to Div. viewer.
   Amount of past and upcoming dividends visible on charts
   Show how long the company has been paying dividends (in Years)
   Show how much of their cash is going out in Dividends (Times covered)

5. Make VectorVest independent of Windows, so it can run in any suitable browser in Mac, Linux, ...

   VV is the only reason I run Windows and this is massively inconvenient. VV should be re-written to function entirely via HTML5 and dynamic web content (JavaScript), breaking the dependence on Windows and enabling it to run in any suitable web browser on Mac, Linux, Windows.

7. Make MTI the underline market trend a Market Timing Signal

   MTI the underline trend indicator is not considered as a market timing signal within the program, and so it can’t be used as a market timing signal for back testing and in a portfolio creation.

   The underline trend would be very useful for back testing and portfolio creation.

   Can this be included as a timing signal?

8. graph cursor

   Crosshair Horizontal Bar Cursor Not Locked
   First, let me say I appreciate VV very much. But like any good product, I’m sure you want to continue the improvements and tweaks.
   With that said, I see VV graph cursors are flexible, but I feel could use a little tweeting. I see two problems:
   1) The crosshairs horizontal bar currently locks to the day’s closing price of the candlestick, (it makes since the vertical would lock to the day of week). Though this horizontal locking may have some value at times, most of the time it is annoying and does not allow all perspectives when one tries to analyses the stock. I believe an easy solution would be to provide an option in the application settings, “Crosshairs horizontal cursor locked to closing price” Yes/No.
   2) The second problem is with the selection of the horizontal cursor from the list (not the crosshairs, the plain horizontal cursor). When using the horizontal cursor and it is placed over the trend confirmation triangles (the red and green triangles to indicate a confirmed up, down, etc.) the red or green fill does not work correctly. It will cover the area but not stay. This only happens with the horizontal cursor, the vertical cursor works fine.

9. Watchlist alerts

   Please provide the ability to add alerts in watchlists. This could be a simply list not set up for accounting reasons, or attached to our portfolio if we wish. Would not want the alert to stop and stock removed once the stock reaches that alert like currently happens in paper trading portfolio with genius. The alerts should be any setting we desire, eg.
   when Rec=Sell
   Dew or confirmed call up/down
   x% trailing stop
   RT< eg 1
   breaches MA40 or eg 150
   even combo of MA40 & RT<1

10. adding stocks to a watchlist

    It would be great to speed up the addition of stocks to a watchlist. For example; while I am searching through a unisearch of stocks or simply doing my top 20 VST selection, while looking at the chart it would be more efficient to have a way to add it to a watchlist without having software take us to that watchlist and then having to go back to charting. it would be faster to simply just click "ad to watchlist" select watchlist then move on to charting the rest of the stocks. This way I can then go to the watchlist and "cherry pick" those stocks down to buy on next rising comfirmed call.

    It would be great to speed up the addition of stocks to a watchlist. 11. Can you please include an advance/decline graph in the market timing graph?

    Advance/decline is available as a mini graph for a short period. I believe it would be useful to see it on an extended time graph. This would help us see a correlation between adv/dec patterns and the general trend of the market.

14. Notes that can move or remain stationary and appear on all graphs for a stock

    Another software provider has very good note functionality.
    1. Notes appear on all graphs for a symbol.
    2. Notes can be moved.
    3. Notes can appear anywhere on a graph and can be set to automatically move with the graph or remain stationary.
    4. Text color is configurable. I like the Vector vest background color adjustment.

16. export backtest equity curve to excel

    Backtester currently plots the equity curve, but we need a way to export the same data into Excel so that we can do further analyses in Excel to be able to do more through benchmark analyses as well as to be able to compare across different markets and indices. The data is already available and plotted. We just need to export it to a file -- just like what was already done for "Trade History". Please make this available ASAP. Thank you.

17. Monte Carlo Simulator with Unisearch random selection

    Take VV out of the DARK ages with Monte

    Typical Scenario

    Go to cash on a certain "sell" signal (or short) then buy the top x number of stocks from a given Unisearch based on a certain "buy" signal. But obviously, the top 5 stock by RT will be different to the top 5 by CI and so on an so forth, so you do another backtest sorted by CI and other by RT etc. However, one run of a Unisearch mechanic based on picking the top (say) 5 stocks using CI or RT etc may result in a freak once off "non statistical occurance". This is crazy - all you are doing is looking at "non statistically significant" "once offs", there is a better way - A Monte Carlo Simulator with random selection generator.

    QUESTION - How do we get better statistical significance in out Unisearch?

    ANSWER - RANDOMIZATION and MONTE CARLO SIMULATION OF A UNISEARCH

    OK let me explain

    Say I have the signal to buy so I run a certain Unisearch and get a list of 20 stocks. Obviously, the top 5 by RT will be different to the top 5 by CI as previously mentioned. But lets just say they are sorted by "CI descending" and I chose to buy stocks 1 through 5 (from this Unisearch in each up/buy cycle and go to cash in each down cycle). I then backtest this Unisearch mechanic to get a result of 7% return.

    However I then I run the Backtest mechanic agains but suppose I chose stock 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 for a 105% return (a random 5 of the top 20 by CI decending). And then ran a third backtest but select stock 1, 3, 5, 8, 12 (another random 5 of the top 20 by CI) for a 185% return.

    This tells me that although the first backtest appears pretty average on selecting the top 5 stocks (i.e. 7%), the Unisearch is actually pretty good as over 3 runs of selecting Random stocks from the Unisearches 20 stocks, the general return trend is 98%.

    Now 3 runs is pretty meaningless. So lets say we have the POWER of a MONTGEN (MONTECARLO GENERATOR)

    Say there are 7 "buy/go to cash cycles" over 3 years using your desired Unisearch Mechanic eg Using Unisearch X in buy cycles

    So the 7 cycles are (1)Buy Stock - (2)Go to Cash - (3)Buy Stock - (4)Go to Cash - (5)Buy Stock - (6)Go to Cash - (7)Buy Stock

    So the Montecarlo generator goes like this
    (1) Buy Stocks cycle - Run Unisearch x and randomly select 5 stocks from top 20
    (2) Cash cycle - Go to cash until next buy signal
    (3) Buy Stocks cycle - Run Unisearch x and randomly select 5 stocks from top 20
    (4) Cash cycle - Go to cash until next buy signal
    (5) Buy Stocks cycle - Run Unisearch x and randomly select 5 stocks from top 20
    (6) Cash cycle - Go to cash until next buy signal
    (7) Buy Stocks cycle - Run Unisearch x and randomly select 5 stocks from top 20

    (8) Check return over 1 run = 44% hypothetically

    (9) Go back to (1) and repeat (1) to (7) 1000 times.

    (10) Check return over 1000 runs = 36% hypothetically using random chance selection on a given Unisearch mechanic

    You then find that overall this unisearch mechanic produces a smoothed out return of 36%. This then tells us that over a reasonable time, even if you make some errors in judgement here and there, or the market does "out of the ordinary" things, your overall Unisearch mechanic is statistically sound over 1000 runs based on unknown random elements and randomisation.

    When running big $ projects that carry a lot of unknowns, you always run monte carlo simulators over your schedules to determine the most likely end date.

    What we are attempting to do is use the PC processing power to smooth out the random unknowns from the market chaos. Our VV group criticises the "cherry picked" nature of the Unisearches. You can't accuse of cherry picking when you do a Monte Carlo simulator. You see, many folks don't actually buy the top 5 or 10 from a Unisearch, they generally cherry pick from the Unisearch,

    If VV had a Monte Carlo Generator, it would be in a New League. The output could show scattergraphs of bunching.

    WOW you guys are nuts not to do this

18. Backtester stop criteria doesn't include ProTrader options.

    I just got your ProTrader Add On and so far in my back testing I'm not able to simulate the way I really try to trade. That is, if I buy on a MACD and DPO crossover I might want to stop out of the position on some combination of these ProTrader signals. Is there anything in the works or the pipeline to add such a feature to the Back Tester?

20. Allow Weekly Moving Averages in Searches

    Hello,
    I am thinking of upgrading to the pro trader add on and would like to know if one of my own scanning criteria can be programmed into Pro trader.
    I currently use another program to do this.

    The scan I use is:
    Weekly bars.
    40 period simple moving average.
    Scan done at the end of the week only.

    The scan seeks to identify those stocks where:-
    The weekly closing price is above a rising 40 period moving average
    The closing price is the highest price that the stock has traded in the last 12 weeks
    A minimum volume variable.

    After looking at the recent training videos it seems that it may be possible
