2. 'Reconciling' portfolios - movement of funds between portfolios

   I have five portfolios which are actually real time Schwab portfolios. I make ever effort to make sure that every transaction actually made in Schwab is 'mirrored' in VV as otherwise, reconciliation is impossible. Funds are sometimes moved from one account to another or to and from a bank checking account and a Schwab account. I would like VV to provide a 'memo' field in the portfolio ledger so that we can 'remember' why or where funds were moved. This field can be hidden unless it is brought 'forward' to be viewed.

   Example: I have a Schwab account which is used specifically for budgeting of estimated taxes. Because I had over-budgeted and therefore had a tax refund coming, I was able to move shares from my estimated tax account in Schwab which is the same as my VV portfolio. The two accounts had my same social security number so I could journal the shares over to the 2nd account without having to trade them. Whereas the Schwab history shows the funds being 'journaled', when it came to making that move in the VV portfolio, I had to actually sell the shares in one account / 'withdraw' the funds from that account / turn around and 'deposit those same monies in the 2nd account / purchase those same shares in the 2nd account. But if I wasn't exactly precise and some time later realize that the cash on hand doesn't match up, trying to go back and reconcile the funds is REALLY time consuming. If I had been able to keep notes in my VV portfolio files, this would not have been so time consuming.

   If you have no experience in trying to maintain accuracy in the portfolio ledgers, you can't appreciate the issue here. It is as important in real time such as in your actual brokerage account as it is in your VV files because if you don't have the funds available, then the computer program is not going to let you make paper trades in your VV portfolio.

6. DPO in Custom Field Builder

   selection 5 is not available in program. It is number of days used in calculating volatility. Book has picture of screen and it is listed there, but program does not have it ,

10. Explain/define acronyms with delayed dropdowns or balloons.

    With the number and extent VV-7 uses acronyms it is impossible to remember all the meanings and the time demand to get help is prohibitive.

11. Allow Weekly Moving Averages in Searches

    Hello,
    I am thinking of upgrading to the pro trader add on and would like to know if one of my own scanning criteria can be programmed into Pro trader.
    I currently use another program to do this.

    The scan I use is:
    Weekly bars.
    40 period simple moving average.
    Scan done at the end of the week only.

    The scan seeks to identify those stocks where:-
    The weekly closing price is above a rising 40 period moving average
    The closing price is the highest price that the stock has traded in the last 12 weeks
    A minimum volume variable.

    After looking at the recent training videos it seems that it may be possible

14. place a market call up/down arrow in a prominent spot on the home page

    The market call indicator is an important trading indicator. A simple color coded (green up, red down) arrow prominently displayed on all the home pages would make finding that data much easier to access. My trading is determined by this information.

16. Backtester Rerun

    I'd like to be able to rerun a backtest after changing the underlying UniSearch. As it is, I have to make a useless change to the test, initiate a run, stop, and go back and fix it and run it again. The Run button is not enabled unless a change is made to the test.

18. provide global change to min price and volume req'ts for Derby searches (100K volume is too small)

    The purchases of $1.00 stocks with 100K daily volume are very limited (large order moves the market). Ability to change min price/volume of ALL Derby stocks would support larger portfolios.

19. Number the rows!

    Sequential numbering of rows (like a spreadsheet) would help in quickly selecting "top 10" or "20" or selecting every X-th stock in a cherry-pick without resorting to counting every time!

20. Greater Depth in Australian Industry/Sector Coverage – Consider Implementing GICS Classifications for Stocks in Industries/Sectors

    Insdustry/Sector coverage in Australia is not as deep as it is in the USA. For example there is no Gold Mining or Metals & Minerals in industry or sector viewer only Materials. Seaches like Stalwarts would benefit from greater Industry/Sector Depth/Coverage.

    Please consider taking a feed of GICS classifications for the ASX http://www.asx.com.au/products/gics.htm & http://www.investors.asn.au/education/shares/understanding-shares/asx-sectors/
