  1. The following is from bullishbears.com:

The VWAP trading strategy is a common indicator traders use. VWAP stands for volume weighted average price. It’s used for short term trading. It’s a highly efficient and simple method.

Traders use it as support and resistance in a short time frame. You use it to assess the direction or trend of the stock. VWAP is calculated by adding up the dollar amount traded for every trade transaction (price multiplied by number of shares traded) and then dividing by the total shares traded for the day.

VWAP trading strategy is commonly applied by traders on…

  6. If users were be able to import their transaction history into vector vest portfolios (readily downloadable from most brokerage accounts as a csv or xls file), they could use vector vest tools, data history, graphics, etc. to see how they have done with their actual trades. Manual entry is too laborious for an active trader!

  8. Allow users to import their own timing list rather than just using built-in lists of Confirmed, DEW, Primary Wave, Green Light. These user-defined timing signals could be used in graphs as well as in the backtester. The user-defined list could be for MACD, Cook's Candles, or any other list created externally by the user. The data could just be a comma delimited file with "name" "up,down, neutral" signals & dates.

Portfolio Groups is a feature we are currently working on for a future update that will greatly improve the Portfolios in VectorVest 7.

We don’t have a date yet, but I’ll let you know when the update is ready to be released!

  13. Add Protrader feature that allows user control for unisearch criteria for MACD histogram trends. Example finds stocks when MACD 12,26,9 bottoms and trends higher by 2 days. Allow user control buttons to set MACD parameters (e.g. 12,26,9) and histogram trends (up/down) and (#of periods-1,2,3 days). This is a more aggressive search than MACD or DPO crossovers@0 and can return higher returns.

  14. A parameter in UniSearch that allows a user to play with the percentages to set various retracement levels would be an awesome search tool. Imagine bringing up a group of stocks at the 50% Fib retracement after a market pullback. This would be powerful and add value to the VectorVest product.

  17. In VV6, one can cut and paste the color guard data into an excel spread sheet. This cannot be done in VV7, and I view this is an important option that should be added.

    Thanks.

  19. Unisearch is a very strong platform for selecting stocks for a portfolio. However in the backtester, the options for selecting which stocks to sell is severely limited. The ability to create custom stop criteria integrated with backtests & autotester would be a powerful expansion of the Vectorvest tool.
